NASA Scientist Dr. Duraisamy

Dr. Vaithilingam Duraisamy, who is from Kupilan, Jaffna, and served for a long time as a Scientist at NASA in the USA, passed away peacefully in the USA, yesterday (March 17, 2022) at the age of 90 Years.

Dr. Duraisamy was an active scientist in the NASA team that was instrumental in sending Apollo 11 to the Moon in 1968.  His parental home in Kupilan currently functions as an Ashram for the Kupilan Sivapoomi Organization.

He recently reached the age of 90 Years.

All are expressing their condolences to this great scientist who brought prominence to not only the Village of Kupilan, Jaffna, but also to the Tamils in Eelam and the World.
