Dr. Annapooranam Gnanasampanthar, who was born in Nunavil, Kaithady, Jaffna, and lived inChavakachcheri and later in Brampton, Canada, passed away peacefully in Canada and was embraced by Lord Shiva on Thursday, 16 September 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Ponniah (Teacher) and Lakshmipillai,
Loving daughter in law of the late Dr. Saravanamuthu and Annapooranam,
Beloved wife of the late Dr. S. S. Gnanasampanthar,
Ever Loving mother of Shanthi (Germany), Chandrakumar (Canada), Malathy (UK) and Sumathy (Canada),
Loving mother in law of Leonaratchi, Muralitharan, Surendini, Anandaseelan and Arulrajan,
Kind and loving sister of the late Thanalakshmi, Piraisoodi and Ariyamalar,
Loving sister in law of the late Arunachalam and Parameswary, and also of Velayutham (USA), the late S. R. Ratnarajah, Dr. Somasundaram, Savutchiyam Thambiaiah, Dr. Balachandran, Thillairajeshwary Ramalingam and Thillainayaki Thuraisingam,
Caring aunty (Chinnammah) of Kowshala, Pathmini, Vignaraj, Nirmala, Vasanthala and Kugaraj,
Loving aunty (Mami) of Sathiyavani, Sathiyananthan, Saithiyaseelan and Sathiyadevi,
Loving aunty (Periyammah) of Subendran (USA),
Affectionate grandmother of Purnima, Dynithi, Anjali, Janakan, Sathana, Prakash, Janan, Hashwin, Hashwina and Sayanthan,
Dearly loving great grandmother of Leon, Vincent, Paula, Maximilian and Lenny.
