He is the beloved son of the late Dr. Arumugam and Mrs. Nallammah Arumugam,

Loving son in law of the late Dr. Ekamparanathan and Mrs. Nadeswary Ekamparanathan,
 
Ever loving father of Ajilan (London), Sayanthini (London) and Dhushyanthini (Sri Lanka),
 
Affectionate grandfather of Swaran, Abhijith and Abhiman,
 
Kind and loving brother of the late Kulamani, Vaheswary, Jeganathan, Amirthanathan and
Sriskandarajah,
 
Loving father in law of Indralingam (London), Kalaichelvi (London) and Surendrajith (Sri Lanka),
 
Loving maternal uncle of Aravinthan (Suganth International), Sutharshana (Vahees Emporium),
Sumitha, Nalini, Nalayini, Nandini, Kulanathan, Kubenthiranathan and the late Kunanathan,
 
Loving uncle (Chiththappah) of the late Jeyakumar, Kalaikumar, Sureshkumar and the late
Uthayakumar,
 
Also the loving uncle (Periyappah) of Ajanthan, Anushiya, Ahilan, Karthika, Thenuka and Prathika,
 
Loving brother in law of the late Slochanadevi, Dr. Srijeyadevi, Vasantharani (deceased), Dr.Kugarajan (deceased), Dr. Umakanthan (deceased) and Jeyanthi,
 
Also the loving brother in law of the late Yoganathan, Advocate Punchalingam (deceased),
Kanaganayagam (deceased), Parameswary, Anandakumar, Kulamani (deceased), Malar, Mallika
and Mathivathani.
