Mr. Balasingam Thangavel, who was born in Saravanai West, Velanai, Jaffna and lived in Jaffna, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Wednesday, 10 November 2021.
He is the beloved eldest son of the late Balasingam and Nagulambigai,
Loving son in law of the late Nadarajah and Packiyalakshmi,
Beloved husband of Sornakanthi (Thevi),
Ever loving father of Dhushyanthi (Germany), Muralitharan (Colombo), Sathurshan (Swiss), Asokan, Giriventhan (Colombo) and Jeyanthi,
Loving father in law of Asokavarthan (Germany), Dharshika (Colombo) and Sumanalatha (Swiss),
Kind and loving brother of Anjaladevi (France), Naganathapillai (Inuvil), Gnanavel (deceased), Pushpaleela (Swiss) and Thatparanayaki (Retired Teacher, Vivekananda College, Colombo),
Affectionate grandfather of Abhirami (Germany), Surya (Germany), Vishnu (Germany), Tharanika (Colombo), Keerthika (Swiss), Harith (Swiss) and Manoshika,
Loving brother in law of the late Ravindran, Sivakamasundari (Inuvil), Ketharagowri (Colombo),
Soundararajah (Swiss), Tharmarajah (Colombo), Kandasamy (deceased), Sivagurunathan, Thavamanidevi (deceased) and Ketharanathan,
Also the loving brother in law (Sammanthy) of Asaratnam (deceased) and Sothimani couple,
Sithamparanathan and Vasanthini couple, and Soundararajah and Pushpaleela couple,
Loving brother in law (Sahalan) of Sarojinidevi, Indrany, Arumainayagam and Indrany.
His funeral and final rites functions will be conducted at his residence at around 09:00 AM, on Sunday, 14 November 2021, followed by cremation at around 11:00 AM at the Kombayanmanal Hindu Cemetery.
