Mrs. Baleswary Selvarajah, who was born in Manipay, Jaffna, and lived in Kopay, Jaffna, Nigeria, and later in the USA, passed away peacefully and was embraced by Lord Shiva in New York, on Monday, 15 February 2021.
She is the Beloved wife of the late Mr. Thambu Selvarajah (Retired Teacher, ACI),
Affectionate daughter of Mr. Nalliah (Attorney at Law), and Mrs. Rasamani Nalliah (Vaithilingam & Co.),
Loving daughter in law of Mr. Namasivayam Thambu (Surveyor) and Mrs. Thangam Thambu,
Ever loving mother of Mythili (USA), Thayaparan (UK) and Mahila (USA),
Loving mother in law of Ramanathan (USA) and Magaleswary (UK),
Affectionate grandmother of Aparna (USA) and Abhiman (UK),
Kind and loving sister of the late Balasubramaniam, Balakrishnan (UK), Balachandran, Balendra (UK), Rupavathy (India) and Rajeswary,
Caring cousin sister of Ganeshan (ACI), Nadesan (Vaithilngam & Co.), Buvanendran, Lalithambigai, Varatharajan (deceased), Satchithananthan (Canada) and Pathmavathy (Canada),
Loving sister in law of Panchadcharam (Singapore) (deceased), Thevarajah (Canada), Anandarajah (Canada), Ravindrarajah, Selvarani (UK), Vasanthadevi (deceased) and Indrany (Canada), With a BA and MA degrees the late Mrs. Baleswary Selvarajah is an accomplished Teacher and Lecturer. She has served the children and has taught at the St. Gabriel’s Convent, Hatton, Jaffna Ramanathan College, Jaffna Hindu Ladies College, Jaffna Vembadi Ladies High School, Palaly Teacher Training College, Colombo Jayawardanepura University, and later in Nigeria, and the USA.
