He is the son of late Mr and Mrs. Jeyaretnam (Batticaloa),.
Beloved husband of Raji (U.S.A.), loving father of Dr Vindya and Dr Vinod (U.S.A.) brother of Jayarajan (Sydney), Kirubairajan (Canada), Jayamanie (Sydney) and Devarajan (Sydney).
Dr Benjamin Jeyaretnam was an old boy of Wesley College and St Michael College. He graduated from the University of
Peradeniya with a Bachelor of Agriculture. He worked in the Agricultural Department at Makandura, before moving to the USA to complete his Masters in Horticulture. He then completed his first PHD in Biochemistry and then a second PHD Horticulture at the University of Georgia. He then went onto complete an MBA in Pennsylvania, USA whilst working as the Director of Biochemistry at Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and has gone to be with the Lord.
THE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY THE 4TH OF FEBRUARY AT IOAM AT 42 BAILEY RD, BATTICALOA.
