Mrs. Bernadette Pushpam Selvaratnam, who was born in Sillalai, Jaffna, and lived in Maligawatte, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Wednesday, 25 August 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Piuspillai and Maryammah,
Loving daughter in law of the late Rajadurai and Rose Muthammah,
Beloved wife of the late Mr. J. R. R. Selvaratnam,
Ever Loving mother of Antonetta Renecca Suvendini, Marias Damien Ranjit (HNB, Colombo) and Arudpani James Dunston (Director General, IVD, Quebec, Canada),
Loving mother in law of Selvanayagam and Ann Merlin,
Kind and Loving sister of the late Marytheresa, Gnanpragasiyammah (Rasathi) and Ann Mary Jesintha,
Loving sister in law of the late P. James and Francis Xavier,
Loving aunty (Chiththi) of Anton Justin, Prescilla Edwin Rani and Sister Mary Geethanjali
(Nirmalalidwintrani), Phetonila Godwin Rani, Jonis Basilius (deceasd), Christilda Downy, Kahilda Shamini and the late Anton Jeslius,
Affectionate grandmother of Phlesley, Joycy, Christy, Adrian Jacob, Marian Lester and Miyurin Cleya.
Her remains will lie in state for viewing and paying final tributes at the A. F. Raymond Parlour in Borella, on Friday, 27 August 2021, from 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM, with the holy mass conducted on Saturday, 28 August 2021 at around 10:00 AM, followed by Holy Burial at the Kanatte Catholic Cemetery.
