Mr. Chellappah Tharmalingam, who was born in Velanai East, Jaffna and lived in Suvisudharama, Wellawatte, Colombo, and currently in 2 nd Cross Street, Jaffna, and also lived in London-UK and Sokoto-Nigeria, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Tuesday, 11 January 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Chellappah and Mangayarkarasi,
Loving son in law of ‘Pandithar’ Ponnuthurai and Nagarathinam,
Beloved husband of the late Kamaladevi (Retired Teacher),
Ever loving father of Dr. Sathabhanu Janakan (London),
Loving father in law of Balasundarampillai Janakan (London),
Affectionate grandfather of Sriskandan (London),
Kind and loving brother of Sivaloganathan Rajeswary (Canada) and the late Rajalingam and
Shanmugalingam,
Loving brother in law of Sivaloganathan (Canada), Yogeswary Rajalingam, Shanthini Shanmugalingam (Australia), Nageswary Thirunavukarasu, Kalyanasundaram, Balasundarampillai (Former Vice Chancellor and Professor), Dr. Vimalendran, Balendran, Vimaladevi Vijayakumar (all of Canada), Yogendran (Australia), Ravindran (London), Buvanendran (London), Nirmaladevi Logarajah (Canada) and the late Vatsaladevi.
His funeral and final rites functions will be conducted at his residence in Velanai, on Thursday, 13 January 2022, at around 12:00 Noon.
