Rasiah  Ganeshanathan originally from Kalviyankadu, Jaffna  and a long-time resident of Toronto, Canada passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14,2024 at 10:30 PM in Toronto.

He earned his B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Katubedde University and completed his graduate studies (M.Sc) at McGill University in Montreal. He worked as a Senior Engineer at the Ceylon Electricity Board and at Canadian nuclear power plants.

He was the cherished son of the late Rasiah and Chellamma, the devoted husband of Jayasothi, and the loving father of Vaksitha.

He was also the dear brother of Gandhimala, the late Kanakambikai, Jagatheeswaran, Kamalanathan, the late Kamalaveni, Jegatheeswari, Thillainathan, saraswathi, Maheswari and Pakiyanathan
