Mrs. Gnaneswary Balachandran, who was born in Maviddapuram, Jaffna and lived in Wellawatte, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Sunday, 15 August 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of Chelliah and Maruthapuraveekavalli of Palai Guru Road, Maviddapuram,
Loving daughter in law of Sittampalam and Thangammah of Viyapari Moolai, Point Pedro,
Beloved wife of the late Balachandran (Manager, ‘Veerakesari’),
Kind and loving sister of Mangayarkarasi Muthaliyar, Pathmavathy, Rajeswary and the late Balakrishnan,
Loving sister in law of Chitra Balakrishnan, Jeyadevi Karalasingam, Balasubramaniam, Jeyaram and Thayaparan,
Ever loving aunty (Mami) of Sinthuja, Lavanya, Niroshan, Sivaruban, Ilangkumaran and Suganya,
Affectionate grandmother of Abhinath, Niven, Abhishayan, Jathusha (deceased), Angith, Jathika, Abhisharan and Mukinth.
Her funeral and final rites functions were conducted on Tuesday, 17 August 2021.
