Dr. Gunaratnam Thambipillai, who is from and was born in Kantharodai, Jaffna, and lived in Mullaithivu and later in Milton, Canada, passed away, and was embraced by God on Friday, 05 February 2021.
He is the beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thambipillai and Thangammah,
Loving son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arasakone Jeremiah and Nagalakshmi,
Beloved husband of Jeyeswary,
Kind and loving brother of the late Parameswaran and Rajaratnam, and also of Somasundaram and Easwaran,
Ever loving father of Chandravathani (Canada), Rubi (USA) and Anusha (UK),
Loving father in law of the late Balendra and Arulsakaran, and also of Suthanthiran (UK),
Loving brother in law of the late Cecilia, Gnanamalar and Thanalakshmi, and also of Nageswary,
Also the loving brother in law (Sahalan) of the late Sampanthar, Kanageswary, Ketheeswaran, and Mangalavalli, and also of Rani, Navanayagam, Nageswary, Jeyarajah, Dr. Umakanthan and Pathmini,
Affectionate grandfather of Brinthan (deceased), Shamili, Shalini- Jeyakanthan, Sanjayan – Anjana, Prashanth, Shangavi and Janavi,
Dearly loving great grandfather of Niteesh, Nilesh, Smirthi, Shiyam and Shravan.
His remains will lie in state for viewing by the Family on Wednesday 10 February 2021 at the Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, followed by Funeral and Final Rites functions and Cremation.
