"Deeply saddened to learn of Peri Annai’s passing. Have been in regular touch recently and spoke with him only three weeks ago sharing some thoughts and wise counsel. A truly humble and good human being who will be sorely missed. My thoughts go back to our growing up days when we were in and out of each other’s home in Kopay and played many a cricket game together. I have never forgotten the day he came to my place in Wellawatte , Colombo which could have been in 1974 to say good bye before he left Sri Lanka to further his studies and career and I was deeply touched as I was most recently when he commented on my retirement announcement in LinkedIn. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and pray that his good soul attain Nirvana. "
