Jayaratnam "JJ" Jayakumar passed away on May 26, 2025, in Lancaster, California, at the age of 75. He was born on August 24, 1949, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. JJ served as CEO of Sierra Medical Group for 26 years.

JJ is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ursula Jayakumar;

his children, Jit Jayakumar (Samantha) and Jehan Jayakumar (Jillian);

his grandchildren, Aidan and Kesin Jayakumar;

and his sister, Bavani Anandarajah.

A memorial service to celebrate JJ's life will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Halley Olsen Funeral Home in Lancaster, California. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
