Mrs. Josephine Mary Margaret Pillai (Alexander), passed awaypeacefully on December 22, 2023, in Toronto, Ontario. Born onMarch 24, 1927, in Jaff na, Sri Lanka. Her pet names, Thavam, CeylonAunti, Josie, was a beloved wife, mother grandmother, greatgrandmother and friend
She was married to Anthony Pillai, who preceded her in death in1991. Josephine will be remembered for her kind and gentlenature, her unwavering faith, and her love for her family. Shewas a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all whoknew her. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bibleverse, Ephesians 4:32 - " And be kind and compassionate to oneanother, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you inChrist."
Josephine is survived by her loving children, Joe and Sarojani(Pillai), Helen and Julien (Sebastiam), Leslie Pillai, Kingsley andSaroja (Pillai) , Diana and Matthew (Skuodas), Marina (Miller) and(Iain Miller who preceded her in death 2022). Her lovinggrandchildren Paul, Christine, Mathan, Kingsley and Lourdchia.Fiona and Jesse (Boyer), Olivia, Keshia, Peter and Katherine(Miller) Didi and Matt. And two great-grand-children Ella andAyva, all of whom she loved and touched deeply. She will bedeeply missed and forever cherished.
