Mr. Nadarajah Balachandran, who was born in Neeraviyady, Jaffna and lived in No. 156, First Cross Street, Vavuniya, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Friday, 29 October 2021. He was a Justice of the Peace (JP), K. Nadarajah and Sons Government Building Signatory, Wine Stores Owner- Vavuniya, and the General Secretary of the Trustees of the Sri Kandaswamy Temple, Vavuniya.
He is the beloved son of the late Nadarajah (Ponnuthurai) and Puvaneswary,
Kind and loving brother of Sathiyaakshmi, Seevaratnam, Kanagaratnam, the late Santhanalakshmi and Thanalakshmi (Poovar), and also of Jeyaratnam, Mangaleswary,
Linganathan (deceased), Nandakumar, Prabaharan and Premala,
Loving brother in law of Manicakvasagar (deceased), Thayanithy, Pushparani, Mylvaganam, Ranjini, Maehndran, Jeyalalitha and Nagadeepa (Nanda),
Loving uncle (Mama) Gopiraj, Kalpana, Ganesh, Sumathy, Dr. Shyamala, Dr. Sujeevan and Shakithya,
Affectionate uncle (Chiththappah) of Saheesh, Pratheesh, Subhashini, Muralitharan and Dr. Bhagavan,
Loving uncle (Periyappah) of Naren, Naresh, Dynusha and Viprajah.
His remains will lie in State for viewing and paying tributes at the Jeyaratne Parlour in Borella, from 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM on Monday, 01 November 2021, with funeral and final rites functions conducted at his residence at around 02:00 PM on Tuesday, 02 November 2021, followed by cremation at around 04:00 PM at the Irambaikulam Hindu Cemetery.
