Mrs. Satkunam Kanapathipillai, who was born in Neduntheevu, Jaffna and lived in Nallur,passed away and was embraced by God on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. V. Sinnaiah and Muthupillai (both Teachers
in Neduntheevu),
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. Nagenthirar (Kodiveli Vithanaiyar) and
Sellammah (Pioneer Grama Sevaka Leader- Neduntheevu),
Beloved wife of the late Mr. N. Kanapathipillai (Grama Sevaka),
Ever Loving mother of the late Krishnaveni (London), Kamalaveni (London), Uthayaveni (Retired
Administrative Officer, Jaffna), Kumarasuriar (London), Ketheeswaranathan (Provincial Council
Member, Neduntheevu) and Sivagnanaveni (Canada),
Beloved sister of the late Rasanayagam (Retired Education Officer), and Poomani,
Loving mother in law of Maheswaran (Kumaran Stores Owner), Rajendran, Kurubaran (Retired
Jaffna Administrative Officer), Sathyabama, Vijitha and Veerasingam,
Loving sister in law of Kamalambal, Markandu, the late Amirtharatnarajah and Selvaratnam,
and Ramanathan, Rajeswary, Nageswary, Navayogam, Ramachandran, and Lakshmanarajah,
Affectionate grandmother of Thulasi, Manivannan, Sinthuja- Senthuran, Sophia-Sivajan, Sahana,
Mathanraj-Gowthami, Priyanka, Priyan, Praveen, Thushara, Edveena, Neruja, Janarth, and
Janarthani,
Loving great grandmother of Ishan and Yuvan.
Funeral and Final Rites will be conducted at around 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 26. 2020 at her
daughter’s residence at 30 Nicholas Lane, Kacheri Nallur Road, followed by Cremation at
Chemmani Hindu Cemetery.
