Dr. Kandiah Ratnakumar was born in Chulipuram, Jaffna, and lived in London,
He is the beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kandiah and Asaipilai,
Loving son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vinasithamby and Packiyam,
Beloved husband of Sarojini (Retired Orthopedic Consultant),
Kind and loving brother of the late Ratneshwary, Murugaratnam and Vanniyanathan,
Loving brother in law of the late Kumaravelu, Shanmugadevi, Suriyakumari, the late Selvaratnam, Sarathadevi, the late Savithridevi, Sivamanidevi and Pathmanathan,
Also the loving brother in law (Sahalan) of Pathmadevi, Rasanathan and Saratha,
Loving uncle (Mama) of Vasanthi-Pathmanathan, Vasanthakumar-Catherine, Kalyani-Kannan,
Sriskandan- Agnieshka, Kanchana-Senthuran, Suganthan, and Vasanthan-Vidya,
Caring uncle (Periyappah) of Kugayini-Kurinchikumaran, Thadchayini-Thayaruban and Ushayini,
Loving uncle (Chiththappah) of Thamayanthi-Shankar and Kumanan-Jenny.
