He is the son of Kasipillai and Kathirasipillai of Thoppu, Achuveli, Jaffna.

Loving father in law of Jegattiri Thayaparan and Shayan Kumaradas,
Fondly loved grand father of Shreya, Shamaya, Swathi, Sneha, Shaminthri and Kumaresh.
Brother of Late Nagarajah and Late Mrs.Thanalauxmi Kanagaratnam,
Brother in law Vigneshwari Mahadewa, Dr. Srideva, Dliarmini Srideva, Sowndari Thayaladeva and Anushadevi.
Viewing and final rites will take place at No.05, AlexandraTerrace, Colombo-06 on the 8th of January 2023 from 7:00 AM. Cortage will leave residence at 11 AM to the General Cemetary Borella–Hindu Section.
