It is with deep sadness that we announce the  passing of Dr. Nadarajah Kuganathan (Kuga), of Corona, California on November 22nd, 2025.

He is the beloved husband of Kamalini;

Loving father of Prashanth and Kris; and adored father in law of Nisha.

Born on 28 October 1949 in Sandilipay, Sri Lanka, Kuga was the youngest child of late S. T. Nadarajah and late Puvaneswary Nadarajah, and loving brother of Thillainathan (Toronto), Sakunthala (Vancouver), late Jeganathan and Manimegala (Toronto).

An alumnus of Jaffna College, he excelled in academics, served as President of the Students’ Council, and was a talented cricket coloursman (1969), later selected for the Northern Province Interschools team.

Kuga earned his Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Peradeniya and completed an M.Sc. at the University of London.

His dedication led to a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he rose to Executive Global Director of Compliance, travelling to many parts of the world in the course of his work.

After 18 years in Toronto, he and his family moved to Corona, California in 2001, where he continued his professional journey and built many lasting friendships.

A man remembered for his kindness, integrity, and generosity of spirit. Loved by family, friends, and colleagues, he touched many lives with his honesty, humility, and compassion.

Kuga will be remembered as a true gentleman—kind, decent, selfless, and always willing to
help others.

He will also be deeply missed by his loving nephews, nieces, extended family and friends around the world.
