Mr. Kulandaivelu Kuganesan of Nanthavil, passed peacefully on Friday, 09 May 2025.

He was the grandson of Kailasapillai-Rasama and Kandiah-Pavallam, and the son of Kulandaivelu and Ponnu.

A proud student of Jaffna Hindu College, Kuganesan qualified as a Civil Engineer and worked in London and Nigeria, retiring as an Accountant. He spent the last 35 years of his life in New Malden, Surrey where he was a long-standing volunteer dedicated to community development.

The devoted son-in-law of the late Sivasubramaniam and Leelawathy.

Kuganesan was the loving husband of Kamalaveni Manjula and an affectionate father of daughter Ranjana, son Kaelas, son-in-law Manivannan and daughter-in-law Janany.

He is the much loved and cherished grandfather of both Haran and Kailan.

Appan, as he was fondly known, was a dear brother of the late Kuladasan (Thass – Sri Lanka), Punithawathy (Nanki – New Zealand), Kumaresan (Ranjan – Sri Lanka), and Kuhendiran (UK).

He was also the beloved brother-in-law to Ranjini, Gnanathesigar, Shalini, Yalini, Vivekanathan and Yamini, Kajendran and Myura, andSalivahanan.

He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Jathushun, Janarthanan, Jalajen, Thenuga, Hanitha, Kenosha, Keshia,Ashwariya, Tharshan, Sinthu, Cavitha, Sankkita, Mahesh, and Prakash.

Details of the funeral rites and cremation ceremony will be shared in due course.
