Mrs. Kunapoopathy Thambiah, who was born in Naranthanai, Jaffna and lived in Saravanai, Naranthanai, Kilinochchi and Colombo, and later in Naranthanai passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Saturday, 08 January 2022.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Maruthayinar and Sivakamipillai of Naranthanai,
Loving daughter in law of the late Kanapathipillai and Sivakamipillai of Saravanai,
Beloved wife of the late Thambiah,
Ever loving mother of Vasantharani, the late Selvarani and Sivapathasundaram, and also of Arunthavarani, Karunanidhi and Uthayakumar,
Loving mother in law of Rajasrithasan, Muhunthan, Jeyarani and Rashikala,
Kind and loving younger sister of the late Thilagaratnam, Ratnapoopathy, Annalakshmi and Kandiah,
Loving cousin sister of the late Packiyam and Sarathadevi,
Loving sister in law of the late Sithamparapillai, Shanthalingam, Aiyathurai, Sellathurai and Vijayaratnam, and also of Kanagambigai,
Affectionate grandmother of Sathiyagowri -Jeyaseelan, Vithiyagowri -Sivashankar, Shyamalan - Sharmili, Kandeepan -Pushpa, Pratheepan -Dharshini, Parthipan -Keerthana, Ilavenil, Ilakiyan, Mathuran, Oviyan, Arjun and Shasmitha,
Dearly loving great grandmother of Gowshikan, Thulashikan, Arthikan, Arunan, Arathi, Athiran, Seyone, Nila, Kanali, Leya, Leyana, Lydia, Lucas, Vaishali and Vikan.
Her funeral and final rites functions will be conducted at her residence in Naranthanai, at around 10:00 AM on Tuesday, 11 January 2022, followed by cremation at the North Naranthanai Cemetery.
