Mrs. Mahaledchumy Selvarathinam, who was born in Thirunelvely, Jaffna and lived in Colomboand Canada, passed away in Colombo, and was embraced by God on Thursday, 12 November 2020.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sellathurai and Thangaponnu,
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vettivelu and Packiyaledchumy,
Beloved wife of the late Vettivelu Selvarathinam (Former Chief Engineer, Fisheries Corporation),
Ever loving mother of Ravindran (deceased) and Niranjana (Sweety; Canada),
Loving mother in law of Sathananthan,
Kind and Loving sister of the late Thillainadarajah and Shanmugarajah, and also of Tharmarajah,
Affectionate grandmother of Srisai Jenani (Hospital Manager – Centenary Hospital, Scarborough),
Dr. Shivani (Gold Coast, Australia) and Anil – Joshua,
Dearly loving great grandmother of Alexander, William and Oliver.
Funeral and final rites will be conducted at her residence at No. 45 St. Mary’s Lane, Mattakuliya,
Colombo 15, on Sunday, 15 November 2020, followed by Cremation at the Madampittiya Hindu
Cemetery,
