Mrs. Maheswary Subramaniam, born in Kopay, Sri Lanka and resided in Colombo, Sri Lanka, has passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 and entered eternal rest in God.
She was the beloved and devoted wife of Mr. Subramaniam Sangarapillai for over 71 years;
Precious eldest daughter of the late Mr. Sandrasegarar and late Mrs. Rathinamma (Kopay, Sri Lanka);
Dearest eldest sister of the late Sivathasan- Chandrathilagam (Canada), late Kamalambikai- late Yogendran, Sivananthan- Pathmavathy (Canada), Dr. Manonmani- late Sivathondar (Sri Lanka), Dr. Logeswary- Kumarasamy (New Zealand), and Vimaladevi- late Jayadevan (Australia);
Ever loving mother of Mathivathana- Ramanathan (Sri Lanka), Baskaran- Inthirani (Sri Lanka), Daniel Ravindran- Vani(Canada), Ganthimathy- Uthayacumaran (Canada), and Neranjan- Vasugi (United Kingdom);
Treasured grandmother of Abirami- Theepan (Canada), Ahalya- Sankar (United States), Rathiha- Quinton (Canada), Johnny- Esther (Canada), Akilan- Briana (Canada), Narmadhaa- Mayoran (Singapore), Dr. Tommy- Rebecca (Canada), Roobika(England), and Ghanika (England);
and delightful great-grandmother of Ishmerai (Canada), Nayani (Canada), Josiah (Canada), Isabella (Canada), Zemirah (Canada), Noah(Canada), Gabriella (Canada) and Anna (Canada).

As the matriarch of the family, Periya Acca / Mahes Acca / Amma / Mami / Aunty / Ammamma / Pooti will be forever remembered for her devout love for God, her kind, compassionate, and benevolent heart that touched countless lives, and her trademark smile.
She opened her heart and home to many, whom she adopted as her own, and extravagantly expressed her love through her encouraging words and delicious meals. We thank God for her beautiful legacy, wonderful example, and all the sweet memories.
