Mrs. Mary Gnanavathanam Acruz, who was born and lived in Ottahapulam, Vasavilan, Jaffna, passed away peacefully in Jaffna and was embraced by God on Tuesday, 05 April 2022.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Saverimuthu Joseph Sellammah.
Kind and loving sister of Joseph Chandrasekaram.
Loving sister in law of Mariammah Chandrasekaram (Canada).
Loving aunty (Mami) of Stephen (USA), Chandran (USA), Arul (Canada), Mathi (Canada), Ananthy (USA) and Suganthy (Canada).
Also, the loving aunty (Mami) of Anusha, Rejani, Anita, Prema, Julius and Sheldon.
Affectionate grandmother of Pramika, Prajith, Anjali, Shamili, Shyam, Nila, Nina, Kavi, Rishi, Nesa, Kavya and Neha.
Tributes can be paid to her from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM, Sunday, 10 April 2022.
Her remains will lie in state for paying tributes at the Late Aloysius Home at No. 243, Hospital Road, Jaffna, where she lived for sometime, from around 09:00 AM on Sunday, 10 April 2022, then at about 08:00 AM on Monday, 11 April 2022, her remains will be taken to the St. Anne Church, at her native town of Ottahapulam, with her remains kept for viewing from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM in front of the Church, followed by Holy Mass conducted at around 10:00 AM followed by internment at the St. Anne Church Cemetery.
