Mrs. Nageswary Jeganathan, who was born in Alvai, Vadamaradchi, Jaffna, and lived in Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Saturday, 19 June 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Subramaniam and Bagavathyammah,
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Packiyanathan,
Beloved wife of the late Mr. Jeganathan (former Commissioner, Department of Transportation, North and East Provinces),
Ever Loving mother of Ananthakumar (Australia), Tharini (France), Thayalini (Canada) and Kishokumar (UK),
Loving mother in law of Suthara (Australia),
Kind and Loving sister of Professor Sotheeswaran (Australia), Gnaneswary (Canada), Vigneswary (UK) and Dr. Ketheeswary (UK),
Loving aunty (Periyammah) of Tharshini, Siva, Gaya and Meera, all of the UK,
Caring aunty (Periya Mami) of Theepa (Germany),
Cherished aunty (Mami) of Dharshi, Sakthivel, Sanji and Ananth,
Loving best friend of Raghu (Raghu Aunty),
Affectionate grandmother of Harry and Haran.
Her remains were kept in state for viewing at the Jeyaratne Funeral Parlour, Borella on Monday, 21 June 2021 at around 09:00 AM, and was cremated at the Kanatte Hindu Cemetery, in Borella at around 02:00 PM.
