The family is deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Mrs. Philomena Ariyam peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 19th, 2025, to be with God.
Philomena, daughter of Bastiampillai and Daisy Thambirajah, was born on 6th April 1931 in Karampon, Sri Lanka and lived in Negombo, Sri Lanka, and South Harrow, UK.
She was the beloved wife of Late Mariampillai Ariyam (Ariyams - Negombo),
Devoted mother to Mallika, Anton (Raji), and Boomika,
Adoring mother-in-law to Anandadas, Subentha, and Pirithiraj.
Doting grandmother of Nirupa, Janahan, Jeffrey, and Glenn, AND Great-grandmother of Dhillon and Sahana.
Dear daughter-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Mariampillai (Karampon).
Affectionate sister of the late Xavier, the late Beatrice, Poovier and the late Jenovia.
Loving sister-in-law of Jeyarani (Patricia), late Rajendram, late Electra, late Mr. and Mrs. Rajadurai, late Mr. and Mrs. Rasiah, late Mr. and Mrs. Pius, late Mr. Arasaratnam and Mani, late Mr. and Mrs. Antonypillai (Borneo), late Mr. Selvaratnam and Pushparani, late Mr. Regy and Mani.
She was a pious lady who lived a long life full of love, caring for her family, friends and relatives. She always enjoyed helping others.
She will be fondly remembered and greatly mourned.
There will be a thanksgiving requiem mass:-
