Mr. Ponniah Rajaratnam, who was born in Kopay South, Jaffna and lived in Dehiwala, Colombo passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Thursday, 17 February 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Ponniah and Tharmaseeli,
Loving son in law of the late Perampalam and Annapoorani,
Beloved husband of Thanalakshmi,
Ever loving father of Gayathri (Australia),
Loving father in law of Sutharshan,
Kind and loving brother of Mahalakshmi (Canada), Jeyalakshmi and Shanmugaratnam,
Loving brother in law of Ponnampalam (Canada), Dr. Sivapalan, Vijayalakshmi (UK), Senthuran (Australia), Vathavuran (UK) and Packiyalakshmi,
Affectionate grandfather of Shahithyan and Arushan.
His remains will lie in state for viewing at the Mahinda Funeral Directors, No. 591 Galle Road, Mount Lavinia, from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, 21 February 2022, followed by cremation at around 11:00 AM at the Galkissa General Cemetery.
