Mr. Ponniah Ratnam, who was born in Nunavil West, Jaffna, and later lived in Alukai Junction, Alaveddy, Jaffna, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Sunday, 02 January 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Ponniah and Vallipillai,
Loving son in law of the late Kasipillai and Rasamani,
Beloved husband of Kirubainayaki,
Kind and loving brother of Kumarasamy and the late Sabaratnam,
Ever loving father of Vaseeharan (Vasi Photo, Nunavil), Nitharshan (London) and Prakash (Development Officer, Regional Secretariat, Thellipalai),
Loving father in law of Kajitha (Development Officer, Regional Secretariat, Pachilaipalli), Ajanthi (London) and Sivarubini (Software Engineer),
Affectionate grandfather of Bavanuja, Lakshan, Rakshaan, Rukshan, Abhina and Aksharan.
His remains will lie in state for paying tributes at his residence in Alaveddy, till 02:00 PM with funeral and final rites functions conducted on Tuesday, 04 January 2022 at around 10:00 AM followed by internment at the Kuchapiddy Hindu Cemetery.
