Mr. Ponniah Velauthampillai, who was born in Kovitkadavai, Central Thunnalai, Karaveddy, Jaffna and lived in Ottawa, Canada passed away peacefully in Canada and was embraced by God on Sunday, 13 February 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Ponniah and Sethupillai,
Loving son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kanthavanam,
Beloved husband of Lakshmipillai,
Ever loving father of Saratha (deceased), Pushpalatha and Kandavel,
Kind and loving brother of the late Thevarajah, Rasammah, Packiyam and Thanigasalam,
Loving father in law of Balakrishnan, Mathanalingam (deceased) and Jeyachithra,
Loving brother in law of the late Vallipillai, Mani, Nadarajah, Sithamparapillai, Paramsothy and
Thanabalasingam, and also of Kunamani and Thangammah, Rasammah (deceased), Balasundaram, Kamalambigai and Sivasundaram,
Also, the loving brother in law (Sahalan) of the late Ponnuthurai and Kathiravelu, and also of
Sivasubramaniam, Thaneswaran, Manga and Thavamanidevi,
Caring uncle (Mama) of Sivalingam, Sivarajah (deceased) and Sivakumar,
Loving “Aiya” of Thayamathi, Bavan, Ragu, Nithi, Deepa, Anusha and Babu,
Affectionate grandfather (Ammappah) of Senthuran, Kasthuri and Vel
Dearly loving grandfather (Appappah) of Umasivan, Abhirami and Karthigeyan.
