Mrs. Thanapackiyam Poobalasingam

Mrs. Thanapackiyam Poobalasingam, who was born in Maviddapuram, Jaffna and lived in Dehiwala, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Wednesday, 16 February 2022.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Kathiresu and Atchipillai,
Loving daughter in law of the late Thillaiampalam and Theivanaipillai,
Beloved wife of the late Poobalasingam (BOC, Batticaloa, Chief Shroff),
Ever loving mother of Vijayakumar (deceased), Jeyakumaran, Balakumaran, Vijyarani, Jeyarani, Indrani, Kalaivani and Kavitha,
Loving mother in law of Arunthavarani (deceased0, Kamalavathani, Brintha, Sabanathan, Yoganathan,
Rajan, Ravi and Ragu,
Kind and loving sister of Mahalingam, the late Patkunarajah and Thangeswary,
Affectionate grandmother of Niroshan, Niroshini, Klaudia, Floriean, Mayuran, Anushka, Ashwan, Harishvan, Sugishan and Mayurika.
Her remains will lie in state for viewing at the Mahinda Parlour (No. 591 Galle Road, Mt. Lavinia) from about 8:00 AM on Sunday, 20 February 2022, with the funeral and final rites functions conducted at around 12:00 Noon, followed by cremation at around 01:30 PM, at the Galkissa Cemetery.
