Mrs. Rajeswary Gnanaratnam, who was born Udupiddy, Jaffna, and lived in Vavuniya, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Saturday, 18 September 2021.
She is the beloved eldest daughter of the late Sinnathamby and Murhatchi,
Loving daughter in law of the late Thirupathy and Muthu,
Beloved wife of the late Thirupathy Gnanaratnam (former AO – RDHA Office, Jaffna),
Ever loving mother of Muralitharan (Engineer, Norway), Gnaneswary, Giritharan (Laboratory Director, Reno, Nevada, USA), and Dr. Rajani (Doctor, Vavuniya Hospital),
Loving mother in law of Rakini (Norway), Mahendran (RDHS, Vavuniya), Thiyagini (Nevada, USA) and Kugathasan (RDA, Vavuniya),
Kind and Loving sister of Parameswary, Rajakumari, Selvarani and Kalaivani,
Loving sister in law of the late Sabapathy, Pooranam, Tharmaratnam and Vijayaratnam, and also of Nesaratnam, V. T. Selvaratnam (Retired Deputy Educatoin Officer, Jaffna), V. T. Thavaratnam (Germany), Kailayapillai, Anandappa (deceased), Thinaharan and Sivarajah,
Affectionate aunty (Chinnammah) of Theivendrarajah,
Caring grandmother of Praveen (Doctor – Norway), Arun (Engineer – Norway), Sampiratha (Doctor), Vinitharan (Doctor), Kaviseshan (Russia), Kavini, Varun, Tharmeehan (Medical Faculty Student, Colombo), Abhinaya and Erahan.
Her remains will be cremated in Vavuniya, on Sunday, 19 September 2021, at around 03:00 PM.
