Mr. Ramanathan Ketharanathan, who was born in Naranthanai East, Jaffna and lived in Wellawatte, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Saturday, 04 December 2021.
He is the beloved eldest son of the late Ramanathan and Thangammah of Naranthanai,
Loving eldest son in law of the late Kurunathapillai and Thangarathinam of Karaichikudiyirupu,
Mullaithivu,
Beloved husband of Nesamani (Retired Officer, Retirement Services, Kachcheri, Jaffna),
Ever loving father of Dr. Sutharshan (USA), Dr. Tharini (Australia) and Yalini (England),
Kind and loving brother of Ragunathan (deceased) (Akurassa Businessman), Thirugnanasampanthar (Netherlands), Parameswary (Germany), Sakunthaladevi (Thanaledchumy -England) and Perinpanayaki (Thaya -England),
Loving brother in law of Yogeswary, Perananthathavamani, Saravanabavan and Shanmugalingam,
Loving father in law of Suganthini (USA) and Shan Mylvaganam (England),
Affectionate grandfather of Vishali, Vithushan, Sowmiya and Thamira,
Also the loving brother in law of Maheswaran -Selvarani, Dr. Vimaleswaran -Jegatheeswary,
Sugunavathy -Dr. Sivabaleswararajah (deceased), Sivagurunathan (deceased) -Vasanthadevi,
Sivanathan -Sivasothy, Kulanathan -Suganthini, Sakthidevi -Sivakumar, Subathradevi -Mahendran, Jeyanthan -Inthuroma and Lalithadevi.
His remains will lie in state for paying tributes at the Mahinda Parlour, Galkissa at around 09:00 AM on Thursday, 09 December 2021, with funeral and final rites functions conducted at around 01:00 PM, followed by cremation at the Galkissa Cemetery.
