Mr. Ramanathar Vaithilingam (Vithanaiyar), who was born in Oorathivu, Punguduthivu, Jaffna, and lived in Punguduthivu and Colombo, passed away in Colombo, and was embraced by God on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
He is the beloved eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arumugam Ramanathar and Kanmani,
Loving son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sinnathurai (Vithanaiyar) and Rasammah,
Beloved husband of Packiyalakshmi (Varnam),
Ever loving father of Moahanthasan (Australia), Dr. Jeyathasan (Sri Lanka), Yogathasan (Australia),
Dr. Arulthasan (Staten Island, USA), Logathasan (Australia) and Kumarathasan (Australia),
Kind and loving brother of Lakshmi and the late Veerasingam,
Loving brother in law of the late Sellathurai, Thavamani Veerasingam, Rajalakshmi Tharmaratnam, Muthulakshmi Shanmugaratnam, Sunthararajah, Shanmugarajah, Navaratnarajah, and also of Mangayarkarasi Pathmanathan,
Loving father in law of Koshalai, Sutharshini, Dr. Thaya, Dr. Marutha, Dr. Puviarasi and Lavanya,
Loving uncle (Mama) of the late Pavalarani, Ravindran, Rupakanthan, Uthayakumar, Vasantharani and Kalarani,
Also the loving uncle (Periappah) of Kokilavathani and the late Vijayavathani,
Affectionate grandfather (Appappah) of Ajantha, Praseelan, Prashathamalan, Ashokaingaran,
Saivigneshan, Branavan, Dharshana, Yashwinth, Yathavijanani, Karthikan, Lakshikan, Pranesh and Sainthavi.
His remains will be kept for viewing at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour, Borella on Sunday, October 25
2020, with funeral and final rites functions conducted from around 12:00 Noon, on Monday, October 26, 2020, followed by Cremation the Kanatte General Cemetery at around 2:00 PM.
