Mr. Rasa Thanikasalam (Retired Commissioner of Local Government), who was born in Malaysia, and lived in Vadaliyadaippu and Koddady, Jaffna, passed away, and was embraced by God on Saturday, August 01, 2020.
He is the beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rasa (Malaysian Pensioner) and Pillainayagam,
Loving son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sivasami and Kanagammah,
Beloved husband of Chandradevi,,
Ever Loving father of Satheesan (DFCC Bank, Regional Manager), Narmatha (USA), Dr. Thileepan
(Elalai Government Hospital -PMCU) and Nimalan (QS, Abu Dhabi),
Kind and loving father in law of Meena (Hatton National Bank; HNB), Balayogan (Engineer,
USA), Gajantha (Teacher, Jaffna Hindu Ladies College) and Sharmila (Abu Dhabi),
Loving brother of the late Balasubramaniam (Retired Accountant) and Sivapackiyam (Siva
Teacher), and also of Puvaneswary (Retired Teacher) and Gnaneswary (Retired Teacher),
Loving brother in law of Ambigainathan, the late Thavaratnam, Nadarajah (Retired, Nedunkerny
Cooperative Society General Manager), Iyngaranathan and also of Selvaratnam (Retired Secretary, Nallur Provincial Council),
Affectionate grandfather of Athvika, Ashwinth, Layavanathy, Kiran, Arvin and Aarushi.
His Funeral and Final Rites functions will be conducted at his residence on Sunday, August 02,
2020, at around 10:00 AM, followed by Cremation at the Villundy Hindu Cemetery.
