Mrs. Rasamalar Elagupillai, who was born in Alaveddy, Jaffna and lived in Alaveddy, Jaffna, Kandy, Batticaloa, Colombo, and Greenford, London, UK, passed away peacefully in Colombo and was embraced by God on Monday, 04 April 2022.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Surveyor Thambirajah and Sellammah.
Loving daughter in law of the late Saravanamuthu and Poongavanam.
Beloved wife of the late Elagupillai.
Ever loving mother of Lambotharan and Dr. Kumanan.
Loving mother in law of Yalini and Keerthana.
Kind and loving sister of Nesamalar, Imaiya, Sivapalan, Umaipalan, Kugapalan, Sugirthmalar (deceased) and Nandapalan.
Loving sister in law of Nalina, Rathidevi, Nirupa, Senthilchelvan, Singamaster (deceased) and Ramanathan.
Caring aunty (Chiththi) of Girija, Prof. Nalina, Dr. Jamuna, Parasuthan, and the late Iraikumaran and Aruna.
Loving aunty (Periyammah) of Gajan, Arabi and Pavithran.
Affectionate aunty (Mami) of Durga, Dr. Athavan, Mathini, Thananjan, Sathurshan and the late Arani.
Her funeral and final rites functions were conducted on Tuesday, 05 April 2022, and her remains were cremated at the Kanatte Cemetery.
