Mr. Rasiah Somaskanthan, who was born in 2 nd Lane, Kalasalai Road, Thirunelvely, Jaffna and lived in Osnabrück, Germany passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Sunday, 30 December 2021.
He is the beloved son of the late Ambalavanar Rasiah (Sando Rajah, Principal) and Thangarathinam,
Loving son in law of Mr. and Mrs. Thambipillai,
Beloved husband of Rajeswary,
Ever loving father of Sarvashobana and Mathanruban, both of the UK,
Loving father in law of Satha (UK),
Affectionate grandfather (Appappah) of Seyone, Kishone and Samraj, all of the UK,
Kind and loving brother of Balasaraswathy (deceased), Nirmaladevi (Germany), Sulochanadevi (Jaffna) and Malathidevi (Jaffna),
Loving brother in law of Gnanasampanthan (CID Police Officer) (deceased), Rajendram (Germany) (deceased), Thevarajah (Jaffna) and Vivekananthan (Canada),
Loving maternal uncle (Mama) of Gnanaganeshwary (Colombo), Gomathy, Suganthan, Sutharshan, Dhushyanthi and Ananthy, all of Jaffna.
His funeral and final rites functions will be conducted in London.

"First of all I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences to all who are mourning his loss. As a matter of fact me, Somas, and master Sumsudeen took a flight from Sri Lanka to Germany. Sumsudeen did not like Germany. He went back Kalmunaikudy, Srilanka. Later I heard that he passed away. Somas got married in my town Kalmunai. Lastly he came to send off me and my family at the Osnaburk railway station, when we immigrated to Canada. Since Somas went to live in the UK, I lost contact. Now I only came to know him after his death. May the Good Lord take care of you my friend.
What can I say life is very short in this World, there is another World where everyone soul will live more happily forever if you are a child of Jesus Christ. If not accept him now and live forever.
