It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Dhushyanthan Mather on 10 October 2025, at the age of 69, surrounded by his family in Melbourne, Australia.
Roy was born in Manipay, Sri Lanka, to William Joy Jeyarajah Mather and Grace Pushparanee Mather (nee Rajasuriar),
Beloved husband of Vanaja Mather (nee Somanader),
Loving father of Loxly Mather and his wife Ramona Mather (nee Arnild) and Robina Mather and her partner David Tancredi.
Adored grandfatherof Caitin and Angelica,
Cherished brother of Shirleen, Julius and Jeffry,
Much loved brother-in-law of Jayantha Seevaratnam, Dharshini Mather, Nandika Mather,
Chandran and Ranjini Somanader, Anandan and Mala Somanader, Shanthan and Nithi Somanader, Vinothan and Malini Somanader and Jeyantha and Theepan Ratam,
Dearly loved son-in-law of the late Norman Thompson Somanader and Emily Athisayamalar Somanader (nee Thambimuthu).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Encompass Church, 31-61 Mcleans Road, Bundoora, Victoria, Australia, on Friday, 17 October 2025 at 10:00 AM ( Viewing before and after the Service)
A burial wiil follow at Yan Yean Cemetery, 2265 Plenty Road, Yan Yean, Victoris, Australia.
