Mr. Seenivasagam Ramanathan, who was born in Madduvil South, Chavakachcheri, Jaffna, and lived in Anderson Flats, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Tuesday, 11 January 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Seenivasagam and Nagammah,
Loving son in law of the late Sithamparapillai and Kanmani,
Beloved husband of Satkuneswary,
Ever loving father of Thamayanthy, and of Vijayanthi, Krishanthi and Sanjeevan (all three of the UK),
Loving father in law of Ravindran (deceased), Dr. Kathirgamar, Muralitharan and Evona,
Kind and loving brother of Maheswary (Canada) (deceased), Puvaneswary Thamotharampillai (Canada), the late Ahileswary, Jeyanathan and Pathmanathan, and also of Pushpanathan,
Loving brother in law of the late Vanniyasingam and Aloysius, and also of Sarathadevi, Logeswary, Sathiyamohana, Indradevi, Ramalingam (deceased), Someswary, Kumarasamy, Nithiyanantham, Sivanantham, Paramanantham, Krishnanantham and Kumareswary,
Affectionate grandfather of Thanushan, Vaishali, Gowshikan, Keerthikan, Mathavan, Archana and Olivia.
His remains will lie in state for paying tributes at the Jayaratne Parlor (Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 8), on Thursday, 13 January 2022, at around 08:00 AM, with funeral and final rites functions conducted at around 02:00 PM, followed by cremation at the Kanatte Hindu Cemetery in Borella.
