Mr. Shanmugampillari Sathiyananthar, who was born in Mudipillaiyar Kovilady, Velanai West, Ward No. 8, Jaffna and lived in Wellawatte, Colombo and Mudipillaiyar Kovilady, Velanai, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Friday, 24 September 2021.
He is the beloved youngest son of the late Shanmugampillai (Japan, Former Famous Businessman, Hikkaduwa) and Karunainayaki,
Loving son in law of the late Somasundaram and Ambiganithy,
Beloved husband of Ratnambigai (Radha),
Ever loving father of Sayanthan, Nilakshan, Nivethika, Niranjala and Nitharthan,
Loving father in law of Nijinthan (Niro -USA),
Kind and loving brother of the late Pushpakanthi and Ketharanathan, and also of Sornalakshmi (India) and Sornakanthi (Sri Lanka),
Loving brother in law of the late Somasundaram, Thilagavathy (India), Rajalingam (India), Sivarajah (Sri Lanka), Indralingam (London), Varathambigai (Sri Lanka), Srikanthan (Germany), Srinivasan (Canada), Sribavan (Canada) and Sriranjan (Sri Lanka),
Loving cousin brother of Chandra (London), Arulseelan (Sri Lanka), Ranjani (Germany), Kamalalojini (Canada) and Sasikala (Canada),
Loving brother in law (Sammanthy) of Gnaneswary Sivagurunathan (Sri Lanka).
His funeral and final rites functions will be conducted at his residence in Velanai on Sunday, 26 September 2021, at around 08:00 AM, followed by Cremation at around 10:00 AM at the Ambalavi Hindu Cemetery.
