Mr. Sinnathamby Thiyagarajah, who was born in Vannarponnai, Jaffna, and lived in Kasthuriar Road, Jaffna, and Bambalapitiya, Colombo, passed away peacefully in Colombo and was embraced by God on Tuesday, 21 December 2021.
He is the beloved son of the late Sinnathamby and Thaiyalammai,
Loving son in law of the late Velupillai and Poomathu,
Beloved husband of Saraswathy (Retired Teacher),
Ever loving father of Shanthi, Thirubaran, Vasanthi, Rajkumar, Suganthi, Amutha, Vijitha and Ramanan,
Loving father in law of Dr. Kulendran, Nandini, Gengakumaran, Mekala, Dr. Sasiharan, Ragunanthanan, Ketheeswaran and Theepavathany,
Kind and loving brother of Thangarajah (deceased), Parasakthy, the late Nithiyalakshmi and Pathmanathan, and also of Thanabalasingam and Tharmarajah,
Loving brother in law of the late Thangaratnam, Gopalapillai and Somasundaram, and also of Sotheeswary, Jeyalakshmi, Neelalojini, Parameswary and Rajini,
Also, the loving brother in law (Sahalan) of Kalyanasundaram and Kulendran,
Affectionate grandfather of Rajivan, Senthuhan, Yathavan, Krishanth, Janakan, Yatheeshan, Gajanan, Sashvathan, Harishone, Mayuri, Abhirami, Raj Narayanan, Sowmiya and Gowthaman,
Dearly loving great grandfather of Avani.
His remains will lie in state for paying tributes from 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM on Saturday, 25 December 2021, at the Jayaratne VIP Parlor (Respect Home), 483 Bauddhaloka Mawatha. Colombo -8, with funeral and final rites functions conducted at around 09:00 AM, on Sunday, 26 December 2021, followed by cremation at the Kanatte Hindu Cemetery in Borella.
