Mrs. Sivadevi Sockalingam, who was born in Alady, Karainagar, Jaffna, and lived in No. 223 Lower Road, Badulla, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Thursday, 19 August 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Muhanthiram Vaithilingam and Amuthavalli (Alady),
Loving daughter in law of Arumugam and Theivanai (Karungkali),
Beloved wife of the late Arumugam Sockalingam,
Kind and loving sister of the late Sivakalai, Sivamani, the late Sivakumar, Sivapoorani, the late Sivagowri, Sivayogan and Sivapalan,
Ever Loving mother of Sivaruban (Badulla), Sivadharshini (Canada) and Sivaranjini (Canada),
Loving mother in law of Thavamalar (Badulla), Nandakumar (Real Estate Broker at ZOLO Realty, Canada) and Sivashankar (Canada),
Affectionate grandmother (Appammah) of Pathushan, Thakshan (Badulla),
Caring grandmother (Ammammah) of Abhishan, Anakshan, Deepika and Sharwini (Canada).
Her funeral and final rites functions were conducted at her residence on Thursday, 19 August 2021 at around 03:00 PM, followed by cremation at the Badulla General Cemetery at around 05:30 PM.
