Mrs. Sivanathavalli Kethar - Thas attained the Lotus Feet of Baghavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba peacefully on 26th December 2024. Dr. (Mrs.) Thas was born on 8th January 1939 in Colombo and studied at St. Bridget's Convent and Colombo Medical College. She was a Retired Consultant Anesthetist and therafter Clinical Director in the United Kingdom before her retirement in the year 2000.
Dr. (Mrs.) Thas was the dearly beloved wife of the late Dr. Kethar-Thas, retired General Practitioner in the United Kingdom. Dr. (Mrs.) Thas was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Chelladurai and the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Proctor and Mr. Rasiah of Batticaloa and the beloved sister of late Nakuleswaren, late Ganesan, late Soundarambikai, late Nithiyananthan, Thaiyal Nayaky (Dallas-USA) and late Ananthakumaran and beloved sister-in-law of late Thirumanjanam (Mrs.Thevanayagam - Batticaloa), late Proctor Anandarajah (Batticaloa) and late Professor Ramakrishna (University of Colombo). Cousin of Dubsy Kanagaratnam.
Viewing will take place, today, Friday 27th December 2024 from 10.00 am onwards at Jayaratne RESPECT Parlour, Borella. The funeral rites will commence at 2.45 pm today and the cortage will leave Jayaratne RESPECT Parlour at 5.00 pm for cremation at the Hindu Section (Pyre) at the Borella General Cemerery on Friday, 27th December 2024
