With deepest sorrow, the family announces the passing away of Somapalan Pradeepan (Electrical & Electronic Engineer) on the 23rd of December 2020 in Sydney.
Ever loving husband of Lijitha,
Adoring father of Vigesh and Vidush,
Beloved son of Somapalan and Navamanidevy,
Beloved son-in-law of Sunthararajan and Lingeswary, beloved brother of Pradeepa, Prabhadarshi, Mathanasuja and Praveen,
Beloved brother-in-law of Komaleswaran, Vigneswaran, Rameswaran, Jensi, Sujithan and Anushka,
Beloved uncle of Rishiban, Dharuniya, Santhanu, Yathana, Loshan, Shahari, Kruthik, Rukshayan and Thuvikshayan.
Funeral will be held on the 5th of January 2021 between 10.00am and 12.30pm (Sydney time) at South Chapel, Rookwood Memorial Garden and Crematorium, Memorial Avenue, Rookwood, NSW 2141Australia.
It is with great sadness and deep regret, we wish to inform the passing of our beloved batchmate Pradeepan on the 23rd of December in Sydney.
He leaves behind his wife Lijitha and young children Vigesh and Vithush.
Somapalan Pradeepan graduated as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer from University of Peradeniya in 1999. After graduation he started his career working for Srilankan Airlines Katunayake as a Senior Systems Engineer, then moved to Abu Dhabi and worked at Etisalat as a Senior Database Administrator for five years. He moved to Sydney in 2012 and worked in the same capacity at Hunter Water Corporation for 4 years. He then joined Woolworths Group as a Senior Database Administrator and was there until his passing.
