Mrs. Sothimalar Shanmugalingam, who was born in Colombo, and lived in Irupalai and Uduvil, Jaffna and later in Montreal, Canada, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Friday, 14 May 2021.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thambithurai and Valliammal,
Loving niece (foster daughter) of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thambirajah and Selvarani, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rajathurai and Rajeswary,
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Subramaniam and Saraswathy,
Beloved wife of the late Mr. Shanmugalingam,
Ever loving mother of Sumathy, Susheela, Suberan, Surendran, Sutharshini and Subhanandini, all of Canada,
Kind and loving sister of Sriskandarajah (London), Srinandakumar (Sri Lanka), Umamahewary, and the late Srikokilavaratharajan,
Loving sister in law of Ganesharatnam (Sri Lanka), Vigneswaran (Canada) and the late Kamaladevi, Thirunavukarasu and Thangeswaran,
Loving mother in law of Muruganathan, Kulaveerasingam,Jenarthani, Lojini and Tharmathas, all of Canada,
Affectionate grandmother (Ammammah) of Vaikunthan, Yasothai, Varothayan, Kumaran,Mahalakshmi, Hariram, Harini, Hari, Haripriya and the late Maruthi,
Loving grandmother (Appammah) of Parivarthani, Shivani, Shivanya, Sivathaniya and Sulochan.
