Mrs. Suriyakala Nithiyananthan (BA, Retired Teacher, Colombo Vivekananda College, Bambalapitiya Hindu College, and Colombo Ramanathan Ladies College), who was born in Nainathivu, Ward No, 2, Jaffna, and lived in Wellawatte, Colombo, passed away and was embraced by God on Friday, 20 November 2020.
She is the beloved granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kandasamy and Parvathi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Nallathamby and Sornammah,
Beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kanapathipillai (Saiva Sithantha Sarabam, Vithwan, and Retired Teacher) and Thangalakshmi,
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kanagasabai and Mangaleswary of Alaveddy,
Beloved wife of Mr. Nithiyananthan (Retired from Mascons Ltd.),
Ever loving mother of Poorani,
Kind and Loving sister of Sivakumaran (London), Rajani (Jaffna), Sivakala (Canada) and the late
Kugasri (London),
Loving sister in law of Umasri (London), Ganesharajah (Retired Principal; Jaffna Hindu College),
Thavarajah (Canada), Ravichandran (London), the late Natkunasingam, Pathmanathan, Sivakamasundari, Arulananthan, Sivayogasundari and Karunananthan,
Loving foster sister of the late Sivanesavathy and Leelavathy, and also of Kandiah and Thevaranjini.
Her remains will be kept for Viewing and Paying Tributes at the Galkissa Mahinda Parlour on Sunday, 22 November 2020 from 9:00 AM with Funeral and Final Rites functions conducted at around 10:00 AM, followed by Cremation at the Galkissa Hindu Cemetery.
