Dr. Vaithilingam Thuraisamy, who is from Kupilan, Jaffna, and served for a long time as a Scientist at NASA in the USA, passed away peacefully in the USA, on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the age of 90 Years.
Dr. Thuraisamy was an active scientist in the NASA team that was instrumental in sending Apollo 11 to the Moon in 1968.
He is the beloved husband of Rukmani.
Ever loving father of Prakash, Kalpana and Ganesh.
Loving father in law of Bharathy and Anita,
Affectionate grandfather of Asha, Shiv and Thejin.
Kind and loving younger brother of the late Kanagambigai Nalliah and Sivapackiyam Kanagaratnam, and the older brother of Maheswary (Malar).
Loving cousin brother of the late Parvatham, Tharmalingam, Vijayaratnam, Subramaniam and Balasingam, and also of Sinnathurai Maheswary Kanmani and Kanagasabapathy.
His funeral and final rites functions were conducted on Monady, March 21, 2022.
