Mr. Velayutham Pillai passed away peacefully on Thursday, 29 October 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Lakshmi Ammal,
And the loving father of V. Pushpaleela, V. Sivakumar, Dr. V. Jayakumar, and V. Devakumar (Sasi).
He was the affectionate father-in-law of N. Balendrakumar (Arathas – Pattana), S. Krishnaveni, Dr. Vijayajothi (Priya), and D. Kanchana.
He was the loving grandfather of Janarthan, Thuvaraka, Krishikes, Swagheesh, Div Thanya, Shiv Pranav, Shiv Prithvi, Trinetra, Trithik Adith, and Samskrithi,
And the doting great-grandfather of Reinash and Shanvika.
His mortal remains will lie in state at his residence, No. 29, Mendis Mawatha, Hatton, for relatives, friends, and well-wishers to pay their final respects.
The funeral rites will take place on Sunday, 01 November 2026, at 10:00 AM, following which the mortal remains will be taken to the crematorium.
