யாழ். புங்குடுதீவு ஊரதீவு 7ம் வட்டாரத்தைப் பிறப்பிடமாகவும், புங்குடுதீவு, சுவிஸ், கொழும்பு ஆகிய இடங்களை வதிவிடமாகவும் கொண்ட வேலுப்பிள்ளை கனகலிங்கம் அவர்கள் 28-03-2022 திங்கட்கிழமை அன்று சிவபதம் அடைந்தார்.

அன்னார், காலஞ்சென்ற வேலுப்பிள்ளை, பொன்னம்மா தம்பதிகளின் ஏக புதல்வனும்,
 
காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான செல்லையா, இராசம்மா தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மருமகனும்,

நேசரத்தினம் அவர்களின் அன்புக் கணவரும்,

பாரதிதாசன், காயத்திரி, கோகிலவாணி, சிவதர்சினி, காலஞ்சென்ற அனிதாவாணி ஆகியோரின் அன்புத் தந்தையும்,

தர்மினி, சுபாஸ்தரன், திவாகரன், பிரியதீபன் ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மாமனாரும்,

ரஞ்சிதமலர், வசந்தகெளரி, ராதாகெளரி ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு சகோதரரும்,

ஏகாம்பரம், இளங்கோவன், விக்கினேஸ்வரன், தளையசிங்கம், தியாகராசா, பாலராசா, நேசமலர் ஆகியோரின் அருமை மைத்துனரும்,

அபிலாஷ், ஆகாஷ், அனனியா, கவின், இனியா, சாயீஷன் ஆகியோரின் அன்புப் பேரனும் ஆவார்.

அன்னாரின் பூதவுடல் 30-03-2022 புதன்கிழமை அன்று மு.ப 08:00 மணிமுதல் பி.ப 04:00 மணிவரை பொரளை ஜெயரட்ண மலர்ச்சாலையில் அஞ்சலிக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டு, 31-03-2022 வியாழக்கிழமை அன்று இறுதிக்கிரியை நடைபெற்று பின்னர் மு.ப 10:00 மணியளவில் கனத்தை இந்து மயானத்தில் பூதவுடல் தகனம் செய்யப்படும்.  

இவ் அறிவித்தலை உற்றார், உறவினர், நண்பர்கள் அனைவரும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கின்றோம்.

Mr. Velupillai Kanagalingam, who was born in Punguduthivu, Ward No. 7, Jaffna, and lived in Punguduthivu, Jaffna, Switzerland and Colombo passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Monday, 23 March 2022. 

He is the beloved only son of the late Velupillai and Ponnammah.

Loving son in law of the late Chelliah and Rasammahi.

Beloved husband of Nesarathinam.

Ever loving father of Bharathithasan, Gayathri, Kokilavani, Sivadharshini and the late Anithavani.

Loving father in law of Tharmini, Subhashtharan, Divagaran and Priyatheepan.

Kind and loving brother of Ranjithamalar, Vasanthagowri and Radhagowri.

Loving brother in law of Ehamparam, Ilangovan, Vigneswaran, Thalaiyasingam, Thiyagarajah, Balarajah and Nesamalar.

Affectionate grandfather of Abhilash, Akash, Ananiya, Kavin, Iniya and Saieeshan.

His remains will lie in state for paying tributes at the Jayaratne Parlor in Borella form 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM on Wednesday, 30 March 2022, with funeral and final rites functions conducted on Thursday, 31 March 2022, followed by cremation at the Kanatte Hindu Cemetery at around 10:00 AM.
