Mrs. Ponnammah Velupillai, who was born in Punguduthivu, Ward No. 7, Jaffna, and lived in Kotahena, Colombo, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Monday, 11 April 2022.

She is the beloved daughter of the late Sinnathamby and Ilaiyapillai.

Loving daughter in law of the late Sellathamby and Nagammah.

Beloved wife of the late Velupillai.

Ever loving mother of Kanagalingam (SIvapatham) (deceased), Ranjithamalar, Vasanthagowri and Radhagowri.

Loving mother in law of Nesarethinam, Ehamparam, Ilangovan and Vigneswaran (deceased).

Kind and loving sister of the late Muthupillai (Thangam), Savuntharipillai, Nagalingam and Ponniah.

Loving sister in law of the late Sabapathypillai, Murugesu, Rasammah, Puvaneswary and Subramaniam.

Loving sister in law (Sahaly) of Kamadchi.

Affectionate grandmother of Barathythasan -Tharmini (Subha), Gayathri -Subhashtharan, Kokilavani, Thivagaran, Anita Vani (deceased), Sivadharshini -Priyatheepan, Arudsivam -Thevarajani, Arudtheepan -Vijitha, Vathanarupa -Sathiyaseelan, Sugnatha -Sasikumar, Jeevatharan, Priyanthi, Vithusha, Anushan and Anushika.

Dearly loving great grandmother of Abilash, Akash, Ananiya, Kavin, Iniya, Saheesan, Adchara, Nithushana, Yashwin, Ashwitha, Suvetha, Girish, Oviya and Sarush.

Her remains will lie ins State for Viewing from around 09:00 AM on Tuesday, 12 April 2022 at the Punchi Borella Lanka Parlor,  followed by cremation at the Kanatte General Cemetery at around 03:00 PM.
