Mr. Velupillai Rajaratnam, who was born in Arali North, Vaddukoddai, Jaffna, and lived in Uvarmalai, Trincomalee, passed away peacefully and was embraced by God on Monday, 14 March 2022.
He is the beloved son of the late Velupillai and Sellamuthu.
Loving son in law of the late Sinnarasa and Arulammah.
Beloved husband of Sarojinidevi.
Ever loving father of Yoganathan (deceased), Vaikunthavasan, Kokulathasan (Regional Agricultural Director, Regional Secretariat, Mullaithivu), Varatharajan (Officer, Labor Department, Trincomalee), Sathiyaseelan (USA), Sathiyavani and Kalaivani (USA).
Loving father in law of Kalaivani, Malini, Subhothini (Teacher- Uvarmalai Vivekananda College), Sivachandravathani (Teacher), Pathumini, Thamilalagan and Thirumuruganantham.
Affectionate grandfather of Sharuban, Rajivan, Sangeetha, Nirosha, Sangeerthanan, Kishothanan, Priyanka, Prithvirajan, Krishanth, Yathurshanan, Sruthivasini, Sapthavi, Harivakshan and Nilani.
Dearly loving great grandfather of Sashwinth, Akshaya, Aparna, Kirshan, Athiran and Athira.
His final rites functions will be conducted at his residence at No. 32A/7 Center Street, Uvarmalai, on Tuesday, 15 March 2022, followed by Cremation at around 4:00 PM at the Trincomalee Hindu Cemetery.
